I'm seriously. I was looking forward to participating and seeing how it panned out.

What, where have you been? Killer Cars won. Everybody was pretty surprised. Then Imafarmer posted "I demand a recount" and everybody laughed and it got a +12.

Too bad you missed it too because that's gonna be the last deathmatch ever. The mods have vowed to lock any thread that compares anything to anything. From now on we love everything equally.
I'm tired of the best years of my life.

he seemed a bit dismayed by having to entirely re-format the polls, I don't think he's a fan of the new MT. He may be back - one can hope.

I have had trouble myself with some formatting, in the food porn thread I had a nice aesthetically pleasing list of all the dishes and it was wiped out when I decided to add links. Now I can't get the stupid thing to do spaces so everything's all bunched up and looks ugly. I can sympathize with Sam 'cause this was a lot of work and his options are to entirely re-do it or live with the mess it probably is now

Jonathan took the board offline part way through a group of polls with almost no advance warning, which totally screwed up the timing of the groupings, which I had set up so as not to clash with real life stuff.

I know, it's his board and all but I thought we'd at least deserve the common courtesy of a week's notice.

It also re-opened all the old polls which meant people were voting in polls which should have finished, etc.

Then I discovered you can't set limits on the poll length anymore, which essentially means I have to be there to count the votes at a specific time, which is way too much effort for something which was getting a lot of negative comments from the likes of Penny anyway.

So yeah, to save y'all the trouble of wondering: no, I won't be continuing the deathmatch, but someone else is welcome to.

I'd have to start all over regardless, and that's not exactly a compelling thought.

either way you may well want to do one in the future, so it would be nice to get it fixed

well, then what if we did something other than deathmatch anyways? i mean, i enjoy the deathmatches, they are fun, but they aren't really a serious indicator of which are the most favored songs. so what if we did a list again or something? i know its a lot of hard work from you sam, and if you aren't willing to compile it as you did in the past then probably someone else with an analytical mind wouldn't mind. but i'd really like to see a new list with with IR songs included, now that its been a couple years and people have had time to digest them a bit and have more of a sense of where they stack up.

not that rating is all that important but its just fun and i feel a resurgence of radioheadness lately, for myself anyways.

edit: ooo, or, i just realized another thing we could do - have a mod close the deathmatch threads when the time for the poll to end comes.

i think we should do a deathmatch but do it for real this time, no pussying about. we're all adults here, a deathmatch should be a deathmatch not some streetfighter respawning shit. from now on when a song is knocked out that's it, it dies, and can never be listened to or discussed again.

I'm waiting for the release of the new album before I delve into the Top 100 again.
