and I thought.. think of all the times you've shat in your lifetime. One of those times had to have coincided with a shit that Thom had.

I just thought wouldn't it be crazy if as I was shitting right now, thom is also on the toilet taking a shit as well.

Every time he goes, Phil ensures that he places enough toilet paper in the bowl so that backsplash is avoided and impact-noise is kept to a minimum. There is also a bumper book of crosswords kept by the toilet roll.

I know this because I hid inside his bathroom cabinet for a year
