Hello.

I've been listening to Kid A a lot lately and am liking it more than ever. Just for fun I'll do something that has probably been done 8,000 times--combine the best songs from Kid A and Amnesiac into one album. Have never tried it and should be fun. I figure that if you take the best songs from each album, you will have the greatest rock album of all time. Here goes:

1. Everything In Its Right Place
2. I Might Be Wrong
3. You and Whose Army
4. Idioteque
5. Life in a Glass House
6. Pyramid Song
7. The National Anthem
8. How to Disappear Completely
9. Like Spinning Plates
10.Motion Picture Soundtrack

I made one of those a while back, here it is..

1. Idioteque
2. Morning Bell
3. Kid A
4. The National Anthem
5. Pyramid Song
6. Everything in it's Right Place
7. How to Disappear Completely (And Never Be Found Again)
8. I Might Be Wrong
9. Life in a Glass House

Named the album The Glass House. Thought about Is This Really Happening? since that's a theme in both Idioteque and Disappear Completely, but it didn't sound quite right. Left out some of the songs like 'Spinning Plates' and 'Motion Picture Soundtrack' since I generally prefer shorter albums (running time 44:46, which is just right.. Albums should never be much longer than 50 minutes in my opinion).

can't really do a definitive version of this. never have been able to. i can never justify one track over another off kid a, and same with about half of amnesiac - nevermind the b-sides. i can do themed versions, like the 'jazz' version, the 'krautrock' version, the 'idm' version, the 'singles' version. i think i'd have to do this with live versions of the songs for it to work.

My first post is a playlist. Hurm.

1. Pyramid Song
2. How To Dissappear Completely
3. I Might Be Wrong
4. Knives Out
5. Optimistic
6. In Limbo
7. Life in a Glasshouse
8. Like Spinning Plates
9. Idioteque
10. Dollars & Cents
11. Morning Bell
12. Motion Picture Soundtrack
13. Kid A
14. The National Anthem

I may get some heat for the disclusion of Everything in its Right Place (I honestly never liked the song) and for not having Motion Picture Soundtrack as the final track, but I'm really happy with this.

Total Length: 1:05:38

Title: Cloud Cuckoo Land
