http://www.youtube.c...h?v=I3bjjitTUv0 I love the enthusiastic jumping ed does every now and then, and it's great in this 1994 reading performance of inside my head, right at the start. yeah, and then jonny does some good re-visioning of the solo, thom rolls his r's on the last verse, pretty great performance all around, for a ph-era song.

then I love jonny's fuck ups:

http://www.youtube.c...-AtBRXq4#t=2m0s fake plastic trees at koko (and again at 4:00)

and then I just found this, jonny going crazy/spazzing out on fpt: http://www.youtube.c...h?v=JfkqeLBsors

here's certainly one of the best moments for Poland - a historical show RH played 15 years after their first performance in this country in '94. this is the only RH gig I've been to. the video is shot precisely from the angle I viewed the concert, so... /sigh/
and, as if the fate wanted to distinguish the event additionally, Jonny seems to mess up something in the very beginning of 15 Step, although I'm not sure what it is. perhaps he's starting too soon...

http://www.youtube.c...h?v=M6AuZinVAbc
(with intro, please be patient. the right thing at circa 1:30)

anyway... I love this video. the seconds during the intro were the longest in my life.

I bet he enjoys it on a certain level. and the crowd always seems to cheer when it happens-- it's an endearing thing. we could try to find embarrassing moments for the rest of the band to even it out though, I suppose.

I know! when it happens, he genuinely makes you stand up and ask yourself, "is this real life?"

Here's a request. Phil's drumming is always so tight, does he ever fuck up?

after all that searching, it's such a slight mess up. he doesn't quite pull off a fill, and drops the beat for just a second. you almost don't catch the mistake.

nah, but it does utterly utterly suck when you know something and you can remember a fair amount about it, but it still takes forever to find it. and sometimes not find it at all. and right now, did that seriously take 2 hours? I must have been something else also during this time. I must have.

Holy hell. That really wasn't much. Phil is almost the complete opposite to Thom in his playing. He seems like a perfectionist and always pulls everything off perfect. Thom just does whatever Thom does.

Thom loses his drumstick for a moment, around 1:54, playing Bangers n'Mash during the Basement recordings:
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=2IQfn97KRFg
but I don't think it's in any way audible.

I adore how passionate and devoted he's in this vid and that he looks pretty exhausted in the end, which disarms me completely every time I see it.
