They stated very clearly on ticketmaster that it was paperless no transfer and get your ticket and go in venue deal.....
So the only way is to use his ID and Charge Card and hope they aren't looking close at the ID photo.....

Yes, you are SOL. The tickets are non-refundable and the only way to get into the venue is with your friend's credit card.
If you look on ebay, the scalpers clearly state that you must meet with a "representative" who will escort you inside the venue.
There is no way getting around this.
The only way you can get a refund is if the event is cancelled.
If this were a paper ticket concert you may have had a chance, but you don't with a "paperless" event.
The whole point of going "paperless" is to fight scalping and if you could just transfer the tickets to your credit card that would defeat the whole purpose of what they're trying to do.
Considering how easy it was to get tickets to the Chicago shows, I'm guessing its going very well.

yeah it was definitely the "non" part. I thought "non" meant "very", like these were more transferable than normal tickets. I assumed there was some sort of way to just imagine the person that you wanted to give it to, and the name at will-call would change to theirs.
Imagine my surprise when I found out that "non" means "not"!!! They should have used a different word.

My question is, why are you friends with someone who would NOT want to see Thom's show?

I'm pretty sure you have to "escort" them in. aka just walk in with them. that doesn't sound that bad, just carpool with your friends. That's what Thom would want anyway

hah ok. thanks. one thing though, they'd be going in the general admission area up at the front, and i'll be in the seating areas further back. so i wouldn't actually be going in with them since we're headed to different areas. sorry i'm being a pain about this, i just haven't dealt with will call tickets at a concert before and want to make sure we can all make it in. will i just pick up all 4 tickets at a booth somewhere, and then i can hand them to everyone and we can go our separate ways? or do i need to be there as everyone actually enters the bowl? again, thanks

You pick up your tickets at the box office. I'm from the east coast so i've never been to the bowl, so i don't know their exact deal. From what it sounds like though you just walk in the main entrance with your friends and then you can split. I'm not 100% positive though, your best bet would be to call the venue though and ask.

I went to one of the LA shows last fall, and they'd scan the credit card you paid with at the door, and print out a ticket stub with your seat # on it--it looked a bit like a movie ticket. Otherwise, how would they know who was GA and who had a seat...
