Recommended Posts

When I read it, I was seriously suprised not to see one of their albums.

Then I remembered it doesn't matter what the hell iTunes thinks is good music.

I don't think that those are just best sellers, people really think that all of those are good albums. If you want to see it yourself you go to iTunes and select USA as your country. It's at the bottom.

if it's itunes buyer selected that's pretty much the same thing though isn't it? i mean it's obviously pretty close to a commercial chart whatever. if it looks off, maybe that's because people in music lover land forget what the mainstream actually is.

mainstream american rock music is just fucking terrible.

nickelback

linkin park

evanescence

green day

3 doors down

those bands alone sum up what americans (at least in the midwest) just absolutely love for some reason, and then theres the bands who for some reason thought it would be a good idea to copy them.

Carrie Underwood?Nickelback?!?!?!...DARIUS RUCKER?!?!?!?!? wait, where's the Jonas Brothers ad Miley Cyrus?!?!?!

I don't know whether to laugh or vomit.

But if we're being open minded here, OutKast was good, and American Idiot was my first rock album. Loved it.

But this is why I hate music in America. If you read reviews from Spin and Rolling Stone and others, it would consist of Arcade Fire, M.I.A........and Radiohead. I mean, at least In Rainbows.

This looks more like a who-did-an-iTunes-commercial list.

Speakerboxx/Love Below over Stankonia...just proves the credibility of this list.

Having said that, even if it is selected to please the masses, or its just a list of the top sellers...im surprised Kanye West isnt anywhere to be found on that list, he wont take kindly to that i hear he doesnt like being ignored.....

has anyone here compiled their own personal list of best albums of the 00s?
