my wife used to be a manager at a golf course in the town we grew up in. sometime this summer we're gonna make a weekend trip down with a few friends and play golf for free the whole time.

i can't wait, i haven't played since last august.

first time i hit a ball was at a driving range.

hit a pole, came back and whacked me right in the mouth.

i chipped a tooth that day ... ;)~

but i have improved though.

couple of regional competitions.

got a few medals.

but just do it for fun now.

a bit of competitive sport is great.

but people always seem to get too cocky and competitive.

it just spoils it.

so i only play my dad on weekends now

yeah, people who take it too seriously piss me off. i play golf as my second sport to football, and since i can easily rely on football for shit loads of stress...i want to be able to golf stress-free, which i can most of the time (i don't let bad shots bother me).

i've played on a par 5. there is a fancy ass country club in the town i'm from, 18 holes. par 4.

yeh, the one i went to last was like that. 18 holes and par 4 was the average. With par 5's too. I got last half way round and missed out 2 holes. Still surprisingly tiring by the end.

yep, the course is really hilly and on a 90 degree day thats not a good mix.

last course i played on was like that, except we only played the front 9. i actually had a very nice drive down a hilly fairway that soared about 240 yards and ended up around 260 with roll. was about a 400 yard hole....good times

the next course i'll probably play at is one my uncle loves..9 holes, average of par 3
