so i guess HTDC is the winner thus far...

and the whole time i thought it was gona be something of a draw between Exit Music and LSP(live)... with HIMM closely behind.

HTDC is definitely a great depressing song, but to me it isn't quite as depressing as a lot of the other ones on the list. maybe it's cause the song's message is so easy to relate too...

This is a tough choice for me. I would say it is a three way tie between HTDC, Exit Music, and Bulletproof. I used to listen to those after my last GF dumped me. Really made things better

And here's to bumping an old thread filled with people that never post anymore.

Im a jolly person, so i dont tend to find many things depressing...cos i dont have it in me. I'd say Exit Music, cos of its connections with Romeo and Juliet.

Just because a song gets popular doesn't mean that it's not depressing. I'd say that No Surprises is an incredibly deppressing song, and if you remove yourself for a second from the popularity of it and look at it as an actual song, then it is very easy to see.

Tell me the line "I'll take a quiet life / A handshake of Carbon Monoxide" isn't depressing.

cmon!

a hand shake of carbon monoxide is a cigarette

Green Plastic Trees and True Love Waits are the two most depressing songs in my book. but i guess whoever made that list might have thought green plastic trees would get the most votes

GREEN PLASTIC TREES.
