Brian 47
they met when RH supported REM on the '95 Monster tour and Stipe used to hang around the dressing rooms when Thom was getting changed, helping him into tight shirts and jeans and generally leching.More than I wanted to hear. I thought the song was about a dream.
Poisoned Dwarf 0
Don't they love Lucky and were bitter about the reception it got? I know I love it.
repulsa 10
I read that Jonny thought the best song from the PH period was Blow Out. i'd agree with that.
teenagethumb 2
More than I wanted to hear. I thought the song was about a dream. well the line "i float down the liffey" was based on a dream Thom had i think most of the song is based on a conversation Thom had with Stipe. Around this time, Thom was feeling so miserable while touring, and Stipe told him something along the lines of "sometimes you have to pretend that you're not really there, that it isn't really happening" and I remember Thom telling Christopher O'Riley that he thought How to Disappear Completely was a mediocre song.
