Of course not.

I mean' date=' it's nothing in comparison to their later stuff, but it's still a great rock song.[/quote']

rock...mgh....i don't know or it's really rock song, but either way it's good song. And Radiohead really don't need to be ashamed of it.Like they don't nedd to be ashamed of Phillipa Chicken, that one i think is really non rock(in words and in music)

No they shouldnt. Every artist should develop and learn. Creep is just the conventional angsty rock song that is however a good basis for an alternative band to start with.

It wouldnt make sense if they immediately made more abstract and experimental songs (hunting bears, treefingers, kid a, the gloaming) without mastering the basis.

Picasso's work wouldnt be as powerful if he didnt master the art of realism also. The same can be said for Mondriaans cubism. Many people dont understand that he is a master at traditional arts and can draw realistic things perfectly, that the common people see as really pretty. His cubism is just his work brought to the essence, the result of a process in which he developped himself greatly in. Therefore it wouldnt make sense if someone who just started in the world of art would just copy the exact same style and expect it to be profound.

In short, Radiohead's creep and their albums Pablo Honey and The Bends are unmissable links that eventually lead to their masterworks OK, Kid A, Amnesiac and HTTT. Which is nothing to be ashamed of.

noooooooooooooooo

It's their first album, they should be proud. There are alot of average songs, and some really bad, but still you have you, creep, anyone can play guitar and blow out, which are alot better. I think it it is good that they have an album which really shows that they've been growing, both in age and in music.

No... Creep isn't a bad song. People wouldn't hate it so much if the band themselves didn't disown it and it wasn't the only song people knew about ("hey aren't they that creep band?"). It's certainly not the best song they've done but it's nice, it's catchy and at least the part where Jonny is tremelo picking in the bridge is still emotionally effecting for me. And it's one of like five songs on Pablo Honey I actually like.
