funnyHAHA
pretty cool. though i guess if anyone should have a signature guitar, it'd obviously be Jonny. but i'd imagine he's not into that. he's always had an aloof relationship with guitar anyway. regardless, this looks nice: http://www.stereogum.com/1951976/radioheads-ed-obrien-is-getting-a-signature-stratocaster/news/

Tim77
I'd love this O'Brien Strat. No doubt it'll be prohibitively expensive, though.

gnogghi
i had a dream i was playing this guitar
smwatson
i played it for half an hour or so in a guitar store it's pretty great tbf i just couldn't justify buying it - i decided i want to keep my "normal" white strat, and having two white strats feels like overkill so i'm hanging on for now
gnogghi
I would like to try it for sure. I love everything about it so far, though buying it just for me would not be reasonable.I was suddenly tempted to get it for my brother but they don't make it left-handed, so, there is no more room for debate. For now. Fucking love it. Ed's the man.
cartwheels
I would like to try it for sure. I love everything about it so far, though buying it just for me would not be reasonable. I was suddenly tempted to get it for my brother but they don't make it left-handed, so, there is no more room for debate. For now. Fucking love it. Ed's the man. left handed guitars are silly. They don't make left handed violins. In fact, most of the intricately difficult shit about any stringed instrument happens in the left hand so shouldn't left handed players be better off on standard instruments anyway? It never made any sense to me.
smwatson
yeah that was my guitar teacher's angle i'm left handed but she said don't learn a left handed guitar, you'll be worse off later on because so few of the top line stuff is made left handed; and you'll find it easier because your strong hand is doing the bit that's hardest at the start so you'll learn quicker and more likely to keep going
gnogghi
I'm like you Sam, but if I could strum and pick with my left hand, I would probably strum and pick better. And left-handed violins are a thing!
cartwheels
Hmm... I'm sure left handed violins are a thing. The people who play them probably sit backwards in orchestras too smwatson. So you learned on a standard guitar? How'd that go?
smwatson
fine, if you've never picked up a guitar before you just hold it how you're told i was only about 8 at the time or summat
