Wtf just happened

This is exactly what I'm feeling. I leave for ONE DAY and this happens

Didn't expect him to release a whole album.

Text on cover is ugly and looks bad, don't like.

At this point it would've not made  a difference if they would've used comic sans or used MSPAINT.

It looks like the cover of a sci-fi novel between 1950's and 1970's. Even the title sounds like something out of a 70's sci-fi.

not to mention the title of the first track.

After mulling over the cover, I have come to love it's B-movie feel. The font is perfect because it doesn't overcome the artwork. The green is perfect. Had Stanley chosen a different color like, say, red or blue, it would not have worked.

If you mean for the new solo then yes: http://tomorrowsmodernboxes.com/

What about CD format? is this going to be the first Radiohead related anything that will bypass the CD format altogether. No CD/Art Booklet makes me sad because Radiohead will end up doing the same as well.

I need something tangible to hold. I need to get in my car and drive somewhere to pick up a tangible item. This digital download thing still feels weird even in 2014. I guess I'm bugging out over how I used to drive out to buy CD's and it was an experience in itself.

I've never been so hyped/optimistic about a music release. This is going to be IN RAINBOWS PT 2. It's all playing out as it did before. Thoms releasing solo stuff, greenwood is involved in the next PTA MASTERPIECE. Nobody thinks the new kings of MUSIC can release anything but bleeps and bloops. THOM IS TOO FAR GONE they say. FIDDLING WITH A LAPTOP they say. 4 years seperated from their last collab, people think the true heir to the throne of rock legends past are DOWN AND OUT.

I laugh to myself because much like 2007, these jonny come lately bandwagon hoppers will be begging for forgiveness - again. Just when they think they have Mr. yorke pegged, LP9 with its UNCONVENTIONAL RELEASE METHOD will still be focused on one thing and one thing only: releasing an overwhelming helping of POP MAJESTY on the masses. Opening with the mysterious allure of OPEN THE FLOOD GATES (complete with Phil drumming and SIGNATURE Ed O Brien pedal based guitar soundscapes) will intrigue even those bewildered by the king of limbs innovate genius. Then comes the haymaker. The EPIC MASTERPIECE THE PRESENT TENSE in all of its GLORY, delivering both the musical and sexual climax every plebeian couldn't discover in Lotus Flower. Hit after hit the vocal pop will be relentless. Guitar songs abound. CUT A HOLE. IDENTIKIT. WAKE ME BEFORE THEY COME. Not to mention the thumping FUL STOP and beautiful melody of I FROZE UP. Once the overwhelming praise dies down, our boys will sit back on the throne they never gave up, saying in unison: ITS GOOD TO BE KING

My favorite thing about radiohead/bands in general has always been the booklets. :(

I have to admit that after reading that, even though I know it's not based on anything real about the album, I'm getting pretty excited too!
