MarkGrace 10
Assuming, of course, that they play something new the first night. But yeah, I'm excited as well!
SHealer 1
And assuming that we get decent enough clips.

babydoctor 48
they did sound pretty optimistic about it. if i remember correctly even thom said something about the new songs. not enough to guarantee it but enough for me to be psyched about it.
Tristan. 11
And assuming that we get decent enough clips. It's 2012, mate, of course there'll be decent clips. There'll be video clips in HD and an audio recording of the full gig.

Tristan. 11
Some of the AFP recordings beg to differ. Well, I'm not saying that every gig in 2012 is going to be recorded fully, but I'm fairly sure most of the TKOL tour gigs will. And, as is often the case, there'll be great recordings that'll never be circulated publicly. Edgar still has two Atoms for Peace recordings that he hasn't shared yet... And hell, even if none of them get AUD tapes, we'll have pro-shots of at least some of Coachella, and the ACL show to look forward to. I'm not particularly up on Bonnaroo - do we normally get pro footage from that?
ThatBastard 0
As someone who managed to see them at Roseland, anyone here who has tickets to these upcoming shows is in for a treat. Those TKOL songs are pretty amazing live
pennyroyalty 102
until they do otherwise, people should treat this as the TKOL tour and not assume we'll be treated to anything else (certainly to start off with). they don't have too great a track record when it comes to delivering on hints of playing new songs live, outside of specific 'preview and polish' tours. as much as i'd like to hear new material, i dare say that plenty of people going to these gigs haven't got to grips with the last album yet. As much as I agree with your hesitancy, hoping to hear some new material this tour isn't entirely baseless. Radiohead are returning to the studio as well. They will work on new material at their recording space in Oxford, England, in December and January. "We can get things together quite rapidly at the moment," Yorke says brightly. He mentions one song, "Come to Your Senses." "We have this version of it. It's a ?ve-minute rehearsal, but it has the essence of what we need. "There are a few of those," he adds. "It would be fun to have them ready when we go to play next year. I don't know how we would release them." Yorke smiles hopefully. "It would be nice to make it all part of the flow and just enjoy it - not think about it too much." Source

ro32xx 0
i dunno about everyone else, but i found a lot of the post tkol fan vids had rubbish sound, they would often sound ok until the bass/drums kicked in, then distortion took over, luckily there are always some great ones! a great year is about to take off! Master Shortpants 0
Same. I watched and rewatched GUTG somewhat frequently before TKOL and I was burnt out of it quickly after it's arrival. Hopefully whatever these new songs are we can expect to see official release sooner rather than later!
then youre wrong 0
I'm going to Coachella, and the LAST thing I'm going to want to do if hold up a cell phone and videotape the performance. Hats off to those who do it for us, but they are really missing out on the concert they paid for.
Death_Bear 0
I'll be at the Atlanta gig. I probably won't record the majority of the set, but if new road test material surfaces I'll be the first one with my camcorder out.
