  1. I think AMSP is easily their worst since OKC, but then I think TKOL is great so don't listen to me
  2. wtf is serving you sour spaghetti sauce??
  3. Yeah, I feel this. I should really like Tool, but I don't. Don't hate them or anything, but not really into them. It's like, on the one hand, they're doing sort of interesting stuff, but it just feels too forced. Like, if someone comes to practice with some 4/4 riff they're like "Add two beats to that or get the fuck out." That all said I do think I like 10 000 Days best. I quite dislike Aenima.
  4. I just wanted to post cause I'm glad this thread is back. I guess I took this forum for granted
  5. What? since when are you Canadian? I had no idea.
  6. Marlo really is the best. "That's some Spider-man shit right there."

It's primarily a stream-of-consciousness piece about my interpretation of a music video. Mmm, not capitalism per se, just how commodified culture is inherently empty. Not much these days, no. I was pretty into it ten years ago though and still have a lot of appreciation for the DIY ethic in any format. I don't feel that I necessarily know what "punk" is, though I liked what some guy on a forum I went to ten years ago (is punk portal still around?) said about. He mainly said that despite all our efforts to define "punk" and the complete lack of concensus on the topic, it's simply something you can feel in the mosh pit. Yes, but mostly from the first NOFX live album. I listened to them a little bit at the time but they weren't really my style. And no, I'm not saying be part of the counter-culture. Just be who you are and don't get sucked into living a life you loathe. You don't need to spend a lot of money to have fun.

Oh. Then I don't know what he's talking about.

I could be wrong, but I don't think I made any sort of evaluation of the band.

I think you're missing the point. "Be active in the present" is not a new idea, but that doesn't mean people follow it.
