  1. The motion of Mars, Earth, Venus, and Mercury is sped up by 18 million times to produce rhythms, 8 billion times to produce musical pitches, and played on the nearest piano note. The resulting rhythms and harmony sound remarkably like the intro to True Love Waits, Radiohead's "saddest song" (http://www.rcharlie.com/img/posts/fitter-happier/album_chart.html). With this scaling, the asteroid belt provides a set of bass notes, from which we've chosen 6, and the sound of all the asteroids playing together starts and ends the piece. We also enlist Toronto musician Thom Gill to cover the vocals. Enjoy! More info at system-sounds.com/true-love-waits
