  1. Did anyone watch the Bros documentary on BBC iPlayer? It's like Spinal Tap meets The Office (UK) but real. Wall to wall one-liners without any self-awareness.
  2. I've mainly been reading and listening to non-fiction. Some of the best I got through this year have been... White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo They Take Our Jobs (and 20 other myths about immigration) by Aviva Chomsky Pro Bono by Mikkel Thorup Call Them By Their True Names by Rebecca Solnit Stitched Up: The Anti-Capitalist Book of Fashion by Tansy E. 4. Why can you not wish death on a person with cancer? Surely wishing death on anyone is what you would be annoyed about. The cancer is incidental. And by the looks of it, he didn't wish him death via cancer but a car crash instead. My Dad is almost certain to have cancer right now (awaiting results but it doesn't look to positive at all - long term looks better mind) and he'd be annoyed if people started changing their opinions on him or treated him noticeable differently, other than references to it because it cannot be totally ignored of course. I don't think you can expect too much from people you aren't friends with, and it's kind of weird to expect anything other than the norm from them. If it isn't out of character and they've insulted each other then the cancer shouldn't really matter unless they are actually using the cancer as the insult, which would be very low. The girlfriend seems to be the one who has brought the cancer to the forefront though. Couldn't keep not posting because I'm an opinionated cunt, and it's none of my business since I know very little of what's going on, just making a post because this is the only interesting thing happening on the board, and it's pretty cringe worthy. Just because it's none of my business doesn't mean I won't make this post though.
  5. Yup. I'm hoping they'll all keep going though, till they are making their points like this
  6. Right now I'm trying to work myself up to a midweek marathon spread out over the days. Hope to be doing that soon, but I'm going to Nice in under a month for ten days so that will disrupt things. Did three miles yesterday since I went with my sister (I'm cool) and she had a bad knee, then did 6 miles tonight.
  7. I voted for the ones I don't know as I wouldn't want the others to split up. Not that I really 'know' the others, but I recognise them.
  8. I aint got a clue what's going on, and I prefer not knowing but... That's interesting.
  9. I read it as Olg from Olga, and asm, and anagram of Sam.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Series We break away from the rest of the world (apart from a few other rogue nations) and make some ridiculously pompous competition, pretending we are still part of something spectacular and for anybody who cares - nobody.

What's all this about England threatening to breakaway from Fifa if they don't do something about corruption? Sounds like an idle threat to me. What are we gonna do? Start a World Series like America have with baseball?
  12. He still pops up on my msn from time to time so I doubt it, but if he had it must have been within the last few weeks.
  13. Nice one, cheers for the tip. Yeah, I think I tend to run more on the insides, so I'll make a conscious effort to walk on the outsides sometimes throughout the week. Well I've been doing a few things recently, done some temping in a few different places and been out and about in a whole bunch of places I'd never been before so it's about time I've finally stumbled upon somebody. I know nothing about her though, other than she went to my high school (but we don't recognise each other) and she has a dirty mind. And a fuck load of stamina.
