walter ego reacted to sleepy jack in Who is still here excited for LP10?
i am excited to hear the 2 or 3 good songs on LPX and maybe some cool interludes or B-sides
but i'm also excited to hear the 5 or 6 shitty boring whining and crying put me to sleep lost their edge forgot how to rock songs too.

Oi, a few years ago I downloaded the .mp3 and cleaned it up to remove Thom / Nigel chatter. It's a part of my collection of Thom's unreleased / early versions set, link here: https://mega.nz/folder/PxADwI7Z#65tJcjKqdB-7Bv34hK9u5Q

No, I’m not posting a cover of the classic Staind song. I’m just referring to the fact that like so many others, I haven’t been to this place in a long, long time. It’s a weird feeling to scroll through the ruins here and see some familiar names still haunting the place. I know I don’t have anything original to say about the matter and I’m sure some distant time traveler stumbles through here muttering the same trite things fairly regularly. Anyway it’s a strange feeling.
I lost my original login, so I had to start a new account. I used to post under the name Thaddeus Cahill. I wasn’t very well known but I did spend a lot of time here and got to know quite a bit about some of you. I never felt like I fit in all that well but I look back on my time here fondly and I think I learned a lot from hanging out here.
Well, I released a new song and video the other day. I thought I’d post it here like I used to with my ragged demos years ago. Maybe one of you will stumble through here some day and see it. And maybe you’ll like it, who knows. Anyway here it is. And maybe I’ll drop by again in another 10 years or so.

walter ego reacted to zachadoodle in Coffee and Cigarettes EP
Hey guys,
I finished a new 20 minute EP called Coffee and Cigarettes. The title comes from coffee and cigarettes going together. A lot of the songs are about my wife, Cindy, who loves coffee and I wish I knew had to quit those cigarettes. It'll be hitting streaming services around Christmas. Hope you enjoy.

Not what is implied on the iTunes version of the album unless they plan to make it a separate release ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Roooooose!
I actually didn't realise how many of these were alternative versions rather than just unreleased songs. I think I saw Follow Me Around and got too excited to read the rest

Radiohead - *exist*
Nowhere - Look at Radiohead existing, but nobody talks about how the breath coming from Thom Yorke’s mouth illegally samples the breathing techniques of Eastern yogis.

Painting with acrylic is really fun! I find with painting I always wanna be one and done rather than go back to things. I do wish I was more technically skilled but that's what abstract art is for 😎

I got an acrylic set because I lack the patience for watercolor lol
I painted Jiji (the black cat from Kiki's Delivery Service) on a mini easel and sent it to a friend of mine, said friend told me that they really liked it... I hope they were telling the truth.
I keep trying to get the hang of painting poppies. I'll get there eventually...

Kid a has kid a. It wouldn't be kid a otherwise. It makes it my fave out of the two.

I don't really get that review (the linked one) because I never found Kid A (or Amnesiac) to be particularly off-putting or weird... maybe it's just because I wasn't into Radiohead until 2006? Idk

walter ego reacted to Naomi Whats in Thomas J - A Decade Later (aka Thomas Gems Collection)
Hello again I have made something of a best of collection of songs I recorded back when this forum was hopping and I was depressed. I've tried my best, well not my best but I've attempted to clean these up from 128kbps mp3s. Enjoy!

walter ego reacted to dagobah in Which song are you obsessed with nowadays?
Yeah, I love that recording. It was on my iPod playlist during my backcountry hike in Yellowstone last Saturday. In fact, my entire playlist included Radiohead, Thom Yorke solo and Atoms For Peace. I'm finally getting to enjoy all the recordings I acquired during the past year . . . . . listening to them while on adventurous hikes. I'm very grateful for these incredible songs.
