  3. hoserama did u ever get any interesting trades for full version of come to your senses?
  4. thom said hed never record w banjo so id expect that replaced
  5. people get away scottfree with throwing names all over the place, i hate how skrillex music is called dubstep when it has no 2 step drums whatsoever, some college kids jus liked the name and i guess no one cares and nwo we have a drum n bass 2 step dubstep and a club wobble dubstep that sound nothing at all alike but share a name its easy to say anything that sounds before its time is 'progressive' and anything with wind instruments added is 'jazz influenced' and most definitely easy to say anything that has multiple influences is 'postmodern,' postmodern is not always used by its definition, people put multifluenced music in that category because everything has already been done under the sun and because this band had to incorporate indian influence or african drum etc to sound new and fresh, its same reason and rhyme as postrock im not justifying it, im pointing out how lazy it is but its the language everyone uses, like you can go around calling red the color blue to people and i can assure you it will never catch on hha i hope postrock and dubstep go same way as pluto and are categorized as the dwarves they are someday
  6. for me u have to break it down track by track in terms of influences and categories radiohead has a lot of unique and original styles as well i guess you are one that doesnt accept post rock term
  7. oh so you jus want to categorize it as sophistipop
  8. at this point im not expecting any major shifts in their sound, as a matter of fact im seeing a recent disarming of universal concepts and micromanaged tracklisting there was alot more effort put into hail to the thief tracklisting than a moon shaped pool from what i can tell from the band unloading unreleased catalogue in past years with oknotok and amsp it either signals an end or hopefully im wrong and amsp was a loosened approach to hanging out with old friends and making music together and releasing those bits as effortlessly as possible to ensure that they all look forward to seeing eachother again in 4 years for new album
  9. yes its defintely stress related, i pretty much lost everything last year for crohns, trying humira would be worthwhile, but i cant see the logic in attacking my otherwise healthy immune system for superficial reasons, id rather be a healthy guy with bad skin than a cadaver with great skin/ quality of life yeah cuz i dont suffer i actually have a picture of myself in my mind independent of the disease and sometimes im surprised when i catch my reflection thats good you found someone, dont fret over differences, life is about new experiences and the perfect time to experience new stuff is when your man/woman drags you somewhere you dont want to go
  10. sameway i feel about the sweet release of suicide how u been noggy? day at a time, i had 2 stepdaughters that i lost as well, no more women w kids congrats man thats great! whats she like? and not good http://s804.photobucket.com/user/222petedux/media/IMG_3597_zpssnpc03wz.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0
  11. what the hell u been up to truth?
  12. thats good i got divorced and another career change, winter 2017 was rough I saw rh in '17 and i doubt they are coming back to kc but i would be open to it
  13. two of those are rag and bone fashion show soundtracks(twist has been around years, two feet off the ground is fairly new) im not sure if they are officially released but models have been walking the runway to them and they are studio mixed unlike the others that were played at dj sets i doubt those two get released on next album or ep theres a yt video of thom nigel in oakland last year that literally has all those songs in tracklist except the axe, all the rag and bone songs are on yt and theres one video where they are all compiled
  14. what the hell you been up to skelter?
  15. im forced to accept fact that its different artist name like everyone else but just pointing out major nuance in thread title I read the article, sounds like they did some jamming ontop of thoms ideas and the end result is obviously a thom yorke solo album where the music drives the lyrics instead of the other way around, its a frankenstein monster that shouldnt be separated from tmb because as that article stated, they had 0 material going in and came out with brain in a bottle and interference etc, u cannot separate tmb and amok, but it appears i was wrong about that tour it looks like nigel and thom made more electro sounding dj mixes after amok was materialized most likely id kill myself if i didnt also point out that atoms for peace was introduced at the beginning paragraph of the article as thom yorkes solo project band, i doubt thats how they introduce other supergroups like portishead and velvet revolver
  16. is there any articles or journls about how much they contributed to tracks? cuz i get the feeling they did the same thing to thoms amok material that they did to thoms eraser material u can tell by listening to that '13 nigel thom tour right before amok came out, the songs were fleshed out
  17. few of those are rag and bone tracks thats been released
  18. hmm, i think it would be foolish to skip over amok in thoms solo discography and categorize it as some sort of non-solo super group team effort, everything thats afp should really be atoms for peace/thom yorke or vice versa just cus amok has famous studio musicians and the songs are compiled together for fleas bass driven repertoire doesnt make it apples and oranges to me, it doesnt matter what order the songs are in and they would have similar basslines regardless of flea, there would be no new band name if flea wasnt aboard and this wasnt some rhcp+radiohead+beckpercussion= supergroup situation i guarantee they play tmb tracks on next afp tour, and thom already plays amok songs solo, yes dif official artist name but its only in name, it should be more used as a live group name than a studio artist, which happens to be exactly how they formed playing lp1 live, its like if kid a had radiohead as artist and amnesiac had domino theory or military industrial complex as artist because mike bloomfield sat in on sessions or toured with them or something, another example would be calling late 60s dylan albums, the band albums those are thoms songs and no one elses, do you guys really think the other members of afp(besides nigel) contribute that much to thoms compositions in any capacity that is more than just studio/live musicians?
  19. sorry i was most def confused about all the tmb tracks that debuted on same nigel-thom tour in '13 that amok tracks debuted also mustve got confused about how they were left on amoks editing room floor to be released with filler like pink section and theres no ice in my drink to help fill up an album length release also i like tmb alot, rh and ty b-sides are always a-side quality much of the time, but im not fanboyish to the point i cant tell when they put 10 min of throwaway tracks on an "album" of amok holdovers sorry if i hurt feelings hha
  20. hard for me to separate tmb from being bsides to amok
